This table is a popular method which rates stress levels. Developed by Thomas H. Holmes and Richard H. Rahe, it is called the Social Readjustment Rating Scale.
In this table, events are numerically rated according to their potential to cause disease. It is based on the premise that events in your life, both good and bad, increase stress levels and make you more susceptible to
disease, both physical and mental.

To figure your score, take the mean values to the right of each item that apply to you and add them together. Only count them if they have happened to you in the last twelve months.
If your score is under 149 – Your susceptibility to disease and mental health problems is Low.
If your score is between 150 and 200 – Your susceptibility is Mild.
If your score is between 200 and 299 – Your susceptibility is Moderate.
If your score is over 300 – Your susceptibility to disease and mental health problems is Major.
